Every system we design is built with responsibility

Understanding every detail matters — and making sure everything fits together properly is what customization is really about.

Every system we design is built with responsibility

Shawn decided to build a marine tank at home, adding another setup to the many tanks he has had over the years.

The available space was just right for a 132cm x 48cm x 45cm tank.

Instead of starting with a standard off-the-shelf setup, we discussed his requirements and advised him to first source the components he wanted to use. From there, we designed the sump and flow system around those components.

That is what true customization is about.

Not forcing a standard system into a space, but designing everything around the space, the equipment and the way the tank will actually be used.

The setup was built to specification with a crystal-clear front panel, while all the other accessories were fitted neatly with no unnecessary excess.

But customization goes beyond dimensions.

We also look at ergonomics.

Will you be sitting or standing while viewing the tank? How far will you normally be from it? How will you access the tank for maintenance? Can you reach the components easily? Can parts be removed and replaced without dismantling half the system?

We don’t believe in using multiple unnecessary parts and countless valves just because they look complicated.

Every additional gasket, joint and connection is another potential point of failure. Over time, rubber hardens, seals deteriorate and joints can eventually leak.

We prefer components that are simple, reliable, easily available and can be replaced within the shortest possible time.

Some may call it old school.

We call it being responsible.

Because the tank you are building isn’t just holding water.

It contains many lives.

Every system we design is built with that responsibility in mind.
